I think that the Montreal Canadians have something about signing small players, this time it is forward Daniel Briere. After being bought-out by Philadelphia, all 5 feet 10 inches of Briere is join the Montreal Canadians.
His new contract is for 2 years and worth $4.0 million dollars per year, Briere (35) had 6 goals and 16 points in 34 games with the Flyers last season.
Briere is generally known for his amazing playoff performance, the Flyers didn't make it into the playoffs last year...but the Canadians did so you can see why he was happy to get away from the Flyers and onto the Canadians rooster.
